"The idea of CLIC was first mooted out in 2001. Prior to the coming into vogue of CLIC, the college library was functioning in two small rooms in the cellar. The library, thus presently known as CLIC, has been serving students since the inception of the college in 1956, now catering to the needs of science, social sciences, humanities and commerce subjects in UG and PG. Housed in the north-west corner of the college building with a plinth area of 4103 square feet, it has a rich collection of over 47,449 volumes with manifold areas of knowledge in store. CLIC's collection includes books, CD ROMs and Cassettes. Major collections are text books prescribed by the university, suggested reading and other titles relevant to the existing syllabi. Every year latest editions are being added to the collection. Some copies of these collections are kept in Reference Cell. An ideal model to other college libraries, it is now recognized as UGC-INFLIBNET SOUL service centre in Southern Region, offering training and guidance to library professionals.
CLIC offers variety of services to the users in the SOUL software automated environment. This well furnished and well ventilated library building is divided into different service blocks with a 175 seating capacity. It opens an hour before and closes an hour and a half after the college hours on all working days. It functions in accordance with the academic calendar of the CLIC.

All bonafied Students and members of teaching and non teaching staff besides Alumni and Guest members. Users identified in 6 catogories on the basis their privileges Membership Validity up to the period of study for students and for the faculty and staff during their service at college and for the alumini and guest members for the period of the introducers stay at college Faculty members given the privilege of introducing the alumini and the guest members A refundable deposit amount of Rs.500/- and Rs.200/- P/A towards service charges payble by the alumni.
